messy. scattered. STRENGTH IN HIS GRACE ||
Here I am, standing in God’s promise, declaring that my best days truly are ahead of me.
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:8-10
The last 3 years of living in Charlotte, I have begged God to take away my weaknesses. Instead of embracing the hardships of transitioning careers, I became frustrated with a lack of being rooted in my work life. Being placed in Ministry this year has allowed me to experience tremendous growth, but it came with understanding God’s grace and truth too. He wanted me to understand that sometimes we go through difficult seasons in order to fully surrender to God to see that our weakness is where we find His grace and His truth. We cannot rely on our own understanding, or our own strength. We need Jesus.
The ambition God has placed on my heart for 2019, is relentlessly believing His grace is sufficient for me, and that my calling to ministry is to be radiating that joy by exemplifying His grace and truth. In my leadership I want to become more like Jesus by fully displaying a character who values truth, but is willing to walk alongside someone to coach and love them through it.
God’s grace is sweeter than anything this world could provide. He sees you, and oh how he loves you. Do not give up on His grace. Let it grow your strength. Let it fill you with insight. Let it establish your roots in His truth.
Don’t view your weaknesses as a burden, rather see it as an opportunity to grow your relationship with Jesus.
This year I am digging deep alongside of other women to unapologetically be grace and truth. My ambition to share the truth with compassion in order to grow others is strong and it will take determination. When your heart is sold out to loving people like Jesus did, you can watch your obedience turn into someone else’s blessing.
We are standing courageously together as one supporting each other in 2019!!
Girlfriend, yes!! “When your heart is sold out to loving people like Jesus did, you can watch your obedience turn into someone else’s blessing.” Praying this year is full of the testimony and harvest from your obedience in following the Lord and pushing through even when things were/are hard.
